Situated on the popular Whitley Bay street of Park View, we’ve created a little haven away from the hustle and bustle of your everyday life, the ideal place to take some time out and treat yourself to the So & So experience.

Every senior member of our dedicated and passionate team has over 15 years experience which has included working for some of the leading hairdressing salons and creative teams in the world; our assistants benefit from their extensive knowledge and expertise with our in-house training, taught the So & So way!

Back in 2001 while working for a Newcastle city centre salon, So & So owner Tony recognised a gap in the Whitley Bay hairdressing scene; our gorgeous coastal town was crying out for a new kind of salon, one that was rich in customer service, with a tailored, personal approach to the latest colouring and cutting techniques. 

Based on this theory the original So & So hairdressing opened on station road in October 2001, offering extended appointment times and a uniquely personal experience from a small expert team, hand-picked by Tony for their common understanding of what makes good customer service.

The salon soon out-grew this location and moved to the up-and-coming hub of the town, Park View a few years later, settling into a cozy corner of the street where, for the next 8 years, guests were treated to first-class customer service and expert hairdressing from a growing team of hairdressers, colourists and assistants.

At the end of 2016 the salon moved next door to the fabulous building where it can now be found at 234 Park View – the perfect final destination for So & So to provide a perfect hairdressing experience. Designed entirely by Tony, the current So & So hairdressing salon is modern and comfortable with bespoke fixtures subtly mixed with the bold, industrial features that exist from the original building. The same So & So service but in a fabulous new package!
